This 2022-2023 academic year, the students at Al-Haadi Study Centre are leading an initiative to help raise funds for those in need around the world. This initiative will focus on providing safe clean drinking water to those in need, support for vulnerable children and women, provide earthquake relief to those affected in Turkiye & Syria, as well as allow you to donate towards our orphanage in Karbala. More information regarding these initiatives can be found below.

The students at Al-Haadi and our team at The Zahra Foundation appreciate your support and we look forward to helping those in need together!

Qurbani

For millions of Muslims worldwide, Dhul Hijjah, a sacred month in the Islamic calendar, is marked with important occasions and acts of prayer.
Muslims commemorate Eid al Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, during the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. This joyful event honours Prophet Ibrahim’s (a.s) readiness to offer his son in sacrifice and places a focus on the virtues of gratitude, reflection, and charity.
Muslims across the globe consciously choose to give assistance to people who are less fortunate during Eid al-Adha every year.

The Zahra Foundation assists you in conducting the religious tradition of Qurbani, helping people in need, with many packages to choose from.

Donate below by June 26, 2023 at 11:59 PM EDT to ensure your Qurbani is delivered on Eid day.

Orphans, Widows and Vulnerable Children

Millions of vulnerable children around the globe are in need of aid. At The Zahra Foundation we work on a community level to support those in need. This means that funds are used to support multiple children and widows wherever and whenever possible. Funds could be used in any of the following ways:

  1. Financial assistance to families
  2. Food assistance to orphans, widows and vulnerable children
  3. Support with other basic necessity costs such as shelter and appliances

Water Aid

The Water Aid program at The Zahra Foundation works to provide safe, clean and accessible drinking water and sanitation facilities for those in need. The students at Al-Haadi will be supporting this initiative by raising funds for two types of water wells:

  1. Electric Water Wells which pump clean water using a bore water well and an electric motor at the cost of $2,500
  2. Hand Pump and Toilet facilities which provide water through manual pumps for regions that lack electricity at the cost of $900. These facilities also include toilets since in these regions there is a severe lack of sanitation facilities available.
